Im a restless person, sitting still it dead, either get up and do something or go listen to this cd. Restless People have just released their first self titled album, and its a delicous pop blend of synthy goodness and sing-a-long-ness. This band has quite a dynamic background - hailing from Brooklyn (once again, wtf is it with brooklyn and bands im obsessed with atm) the band consists of 4 guys, Michael, Jesse, Tony and Eric - Jesse and Eric are the brains behind the ever so popular duo Tanlines (a favourite here at 6f9) while Micahel and Tony have released successful albums as Professor Murder. Combined they have put together an 8 track, fast paced indie-pop winner. From the opening keyboard stabs and klaxon blasts of “Days Of Our Lives” through to the group-chants and cascading bleeps of “Victimless Crime,” the mood is ecstatic. Its faster paced that Tanlines and less synthy than Professor Murder, so dont go expecting a similar sound to either. Restless People have put together a very appealing album, perhaps too appealing, id compare this to 'The Drums' if anything. Suddenly listening to indie is cool again, so this would be a cool album to listen too.
A way to fill time and make something of the hours I spend looking for cool and interesting things out in the world. Music, Fashion, design, whatever. This is a collection of 'stuff' that is new, cool, interesting. Enjoy
