Under-Covers

I love the idea of bands covering other bands. There are so many shit covers out there, however when you stumble upon a great one it's definitely something special. I recently acquired the Triple J 'Like A Version' CD, and it only deepened my appreciation of good covers, and extremely talented musicians.

Australian Stephen Francis has taken LCD's epic "All My Friends" and created a delicate, piano based and totally spine tingling cover. His voice is a amazing, and as the song builds he really lets the pipes go, and its  totally awesome. I would have never expected a cover of this song to be so good. wow.

Next up is a Matisyahu cover of Kings of Leon's 'Use Somebody'. Matisyahu is one talented little fella, the first 30 seconds of 'King Without A Crown' Live from Stubb's is one of the most awesome vocal displays you can hear, and in this acoustic cover he uses that epic voice to create a wicked version of this world wide hit. It'll make you love this KOL again. (He even throws in a little beat boxing at the end, just cause he can).
