Restless People

Im a restless person, sitting still it dead, either get up and do something or go listen to this cd. Restless People have just released their first self titled album, and its a delicous pop blend of synthy goodness and sing-a-long-ness. This band has quite a dynamic background - hailing from Brooklyn (once again, wtf is it with brooklyn and bands im obsessed with atm) the band consists of 4 guys, Michael, Jesse, Tony and Eric - Jesse and Eric are the brains behind the ever so popular duo Tanlines (a favourite here at 6f9) while Micahel and Tony have released successful albums as Professor Murder. Combined they have put together an 8 track, fast paced indie-pop winner. From the opening keyboard stabs and klaxon blasts of “Days Of Our Lives” through to the group-chants and cascading bleeps of “Victimless Crime,” the mood is ecstatic. Its faster paced that Tanlines and less synthy than Professor Murder, so dont go expecting a similar sound to either. Restless People have put together a very appealing album, perhaps too appealing, id compare this to 'The Drums' if anything. Suddenly listening to indie is cool again, so this would be a cool album to listen too.

Under-Covers

I love the idea of bands covering other bands. There are so many shit covers out there, however when you stumble upon a great one it's definitely something special. I recently acquired the Triple J 'Like A Version' CD, and it only deepened my appreciation of good covers, and extremely talented musicians.

Australian Stephen Francis has taken LCD's epic "All My Friends" and created a delicate, piano based and totally spine tingling cover. His voice is a amazing, and as the song builds he really lets the pipes go, and its  totally awesome. I would have never expected a cover of this song to be so good. wow.

Next up is a Matisyahu cover of Kings of Leon's 'Use Somebody'. Matisyahu is one talented little fella, the first 30 seconds of 'King Without A Crown' Live from Stubb's is one of the most awesome vocal displays you can hear, and in this acoustic cover he uses that epic voice to create a wicked version of this world wide hit. It'll make you love this KOL again. (He even throws in a little beat boxing at the end, just cause he can).

It's no secret that hot chicks are hot, so now there's a website to make sure that no one forgets it. www.hotchicksaresohot.com has just launched, and its a real treat. Waste an hour a day in office browsing through the reasons why chicks that are hot are so hot.

Mixtape 4 - Sunburn Is Win

I got sunburnt today, that's a win in anyones book. Finally summer is starting to show its face. Here's a mixtape to congratulate November for finally putting on a day worth lying in the sun for.

It has been a long time since a mixtape. Theres been a heap of good music coming out at the moment, and ive compiled lists and lists of potential mixtapes, however it changes everyday, so im just going to upload it now.

Home Video - The Smoke - The latest single to leak from Brooklyn duo Home Video is 'The Smoke', an eery and really beautiful song. Simple and subtle is the formula for this track. I'm looking forward to the new album which will drop on the 16th Novemeber, be sure to check it out!

Matt & Kim - Good For Great - I've been a big fan of Matt & Kim for quite a while now, and this has to be one my most anticipated albums of the year. It was hard to pick a song to put up, they are all great, and all in all its a great album. It's not quite as raw as 'Grand', i love the roughness of that album, and i feel this may have been over-produced a little. However, its is still great, and i can't wait for these two to come out again.

The War On Drugs - Comin' Through - This song reminds me of so many songs. The lead singer, Adam Granduciel, has a Bruce Springsteen(esque) sound to him that i thoroughly enjoy. Add to that some ecstatic guitar and a dreamy drum beat (almost a little Fleetwood Mac) and you have yourself a great song that reflects on the past, while being firmly planted in the present.

Grouplove - Naked Kids - Love this song at the moment, but firstly, go find yourself the selftitled EP, its wicked. This song has summer written all over it, right from the quirky lyrics to the hand clapping chorus.

Caribou - Odessa (Junior Boys Remix) - I have loved the original of this track since it was released, and i still think its an amazing song. I also love Junior Boys, therefore this song must be awesome. Junior Boys have put there distinctive electronic touch on this classic track by Caribou and works in every way.

Vonnegutt - Bright Eyes - Ok so its a little bit college party, but i cant get enough of it at the moment! There's something about that guitar and the beat and the guys voice that makes you wanna dance around a pool full of hot chicks (www.hotchicksaresohot.com).

Gotye - Eyes Wide Open - The newest from Gotye (may have heard it on triple j this week) is great. Gotye have always produced some tight tunes, and this is no different. 'Eyes Wide Open' is a pretty epic little song that starts slow and explodes in true Gotye style by the end. Looking forward to the new album.

Twin Shadow - A Place We Like (Feat. Hooray For Earth) - What is it with Brooklyn at the moment, they must have a 'good music manufacturing plant' stuffed away somewhere in that suburb. Twin Shadow's album 'Forget', (released earlier this year) is fantastic, and this follow up track with Hooray for Earth is a great sign of things to come. If you like his other stuff, youll love this.

Oh No Oh My - Summerdays - A slow sun soaked afternoon with a g&t and this song playing in the background and im pretty much happy. Im really enjoying this sought of indie-pop/dream sound at the moment, and having supported bands such as the Flaming Lips and Gnarles Barkely its no surprise these boys from Texas can bust out a tune or two.

The XX - VCR (Four Tet Remix) - Firstly, yes im devastated ill be missing Four Tet and Playground next year. Secondly, this is amazing. Released about 6 weeks ago i think (could be older) this song is a showcase of how good both The XX and Four Tet really are. The remix takes what was a great song and turns into a genre crossing masterpiece.

Family of the Year - Summer Girl - I had to end the summer mixtape on a song that had summer in it, and the word girl, oh and this is also incredible. I friend of mine over at 'hot chicks are so hot' put me onto this delicious band not long ago, and since then this song has even managed to make it on to my Dads ipod. Its sad, its sexy, its slow, its cool, its Summer Girl.

MIXTAPE 4 - SUNBURN IS WIN

So there we have it. The fourth mixtape. I hope you enjoy it. Take care and enjoy the sun!

Generationals - Con Law

Firstly, apologies to the millions of fans out there for the lack of posts lately. Ive been lending a hand over at alensdiary trying to get his life back on track and back with reality. Some people cant handle college life.

Moving on.
Often smaller bands that tour with larger bands are very worthy of listening too. This is the case with Generationals. A group of young guys from New Orleans, theyve been opening shows for Two Door Cinema Club across the states for the past months, a nice little tour to have on the resume given Two Doors' explosive success over the last 12 months.

However, their music is not like Two doors', so dont go expecting 'throw your hands in the air' anthems like Undercover Martyn. These guys produce a dreamy mix of indie-pop and acoustic, full of cool harmonies and hammock swinging guitar/drum rhythms. Some of you may recognise the smash single off the album 'When They Fight, They Fight' which was somewhat of an indie-summer classic over in the states this year, and catapulted Generationals into the playlists of many unsuspecting ipods.

The full length debut album 'Con Law' continues where 'When They Fight, They Fight' left off. Its a record that's solidly enjoyable from front to back, serving up songs suited to afternoon bbq's, pointless conversations and hot chicks in summer dresses riding cruiser bicycles eating over sized pieces of watermelon (hot chicks are so hot). I particularly like the songs 'Nobody Could Change Your Mind' and 'Faces In The Dark'.

Generationals are a delight to listen too.

I'll post up a couple of songs tomorrow, in the meantime check out there Myspace and a couple of these clips from youtube.

Happy Halloween.

Get Ya Groove On!

It's been too long since i've posted up some house music. The last months have been out of control for good house music. I get the feeling its going to be an epic summer of parties (kicking off with Circoloco in 2 weekends time!). These tracks below are a bit of mix of sounds from some great producers, i hope you enjoy them!

Delay Trees - Self Titled Debut!

This delicious indie-pop quartet from Finland bring soothing loveliness to your ears. They're first single, "About Brothers" found its way onto my computer at the beginning of the year. I consequently forgot about this band completely, that's until i stumbled across the full length album today. Due for release at the end of October, Delay Trees self titled album is full of airy, summer chill songs - described on their own website as 'brighter than a children's TV presenter, and about as threatening, but so innocently enjoyable that you'll feel instantly removed from the miserable norm'. Take from that what you will, however this is a great debut album. Good stuff.

Here are my two favourites off the album so far.

Marty McFly - 2015 Nike's

This custom made Nike shoe was worn by Michael J. Fox as “Marty McFly” in Back to the Future II. When Doc Brown and Marty arrive in the year 2015, Doc asks Marty to put on clothes similar to Marty Jr. To help him pass for a contemporary teenager, Doc Brown gives Marty the latest in high-tech outerwear. The first thing he puts on is the self-lacing future Nikes. This particular shoe was specifically made for walking around. Original future Nike 2015 self-lacing shoes are extremely rare and one of the most sought-after props from one of the most iconic Sci-Fi movies ever made, all yours for the price of $15000.

RIP CURL - New Boardies Campaign

Grab some of the best surfers in the world, a wave pool and some hectic photography equipment and you've got yourself the new Rip Curl boardshort campaign.

“In collaboration with Timeslice Films, Rip Curl took on an ambitious bullet-time campaign shoot in Malaysia’s Sunway Lagoon Wavepool with lead surfers Mick Fanning, Stephanie Gilmore, Owen Wright and Matt Wilkinson.
The revolutionary campaign captures surfing in a way never seen before, with the final visuals baring more resemblance to a fight scene from the famous Matrix movies than a promotional surfing video.
The two-day rental of Sunway Lagoon Wavepool allowed Rip Curl and Timeslice to operate in a more stable environment than the open ocean offers. The Rip Curl surfers were repeatedly towed into the machine-controlled waves by Jetski and their operational space was determined by the 52-camera rig set up in the pool. “

New Era - Japan Style

The Japanese always push the coolness factor - just go for a wander through Harajuku in downtown Tokyo (when you're in the area next). From what i can translate off the Japanese website I found this on, the hat is a take on a military cap worn by a famous Japanese rockstar from the 80's. Anyway, its a cool take on the traditional 59fifty - would you wear it? probly not, but it's one for the hat rack.

Over Your Head(phones)

Say hello to the sheepskin leather luxury headphones by Ultrasone. The brown tan sheepskin leather is the worlds smoothest of its kind, coming to your ears all the way from Ethopia - the design is inspired by a butterfly opening its wings (i missed that too) and expect to pay over $1500 for this ultra-cool head accessory. Not only do they look the part, Ultrasone has a reputation for producing the cream of the crop in terms of sound quality as well. If only.....

The Crystal Fighters

Not Crystal Castles, not The Crystal Method, not The Crystal Antlers but The Crystal Fighters - yes there are too many bands around with the word crystal nestled in their name, however this doesn't take away from the fact that this 5 piece band are bringing 'basque' smashing into the 21st century. Their single 'Xtatic Truth' was released in 2009, and made enough people nod their head to land them a support spot on Foals tour through the UK earlier this year.

Consisting of 2 spanish girls, 2 british guys and an american, there quite a bizarre mix of people and i think it comes through in their music.

The full length album was released only last week (2 weeks later than planned) and its an eclectic mix of electronica/acoustic/folk goodness. "We make fast dance music with Basque instruments, synthesisers and our voices" the band explains, adding they fuse heavy dance rhythms with traditional folk melodies and chants gleaned from old basque sheet music - it's an interesting concept (think CSS x Folk Hippie singing by herself in the woods with a synth machine).

Chiddy Bang x The Naked and Famous

As a follow up to my review of The Naked and Famous album 'Passive Me, Aggressive You', here we have a cute little remix by hipster boy of the moment Chiddy Bang. It's not better than the original, but its still pretty cool - and it goes to show that these kids from New Zealand are making waves across the other side of the world, as i said in the album review, watch these kiwi's explode.

Shugo Tokumaru - Rum Hee

Despite having no idea what this guy is singing about, I'm completely obsessed with this song at the moment. Its got a little 'sigur ros - gobbledigook' feel to it, which i am all about. From what i can find about  Shugo, he's a Japanese born singer/songwriter who is a self taught musical genius - owning and being able to play over 100 instruments ranging from guitars to glockenspiels. He producers his own style of indie-experimental-pop, and it wasn't until Sony used 'Rum Hee' in a commercial for a touch screen computer that his name started spread around the globe. This is my spring anthem, enjoy.

Shit Robot - From The Cradle To The Grave

Having sound tracked the latter part of the 00’s with LCD Soundsystem, James Murphy has infamously stated recently that it may well be the end of LCD, and boo many of us cried into our skinny ties. However, this will of course give the God-like figure even more time to plough his creativity and brain into his co-owned record label DFA, on which Shit Robot belong.
This new release from DFA sees some familiar names attached to some of the tracks, most notably Hot Chip front man Alexis Taylor lending his vocal skills to the 3rd track 'Losing My Patience'. The melodic lyrics over the electronic backdrop sound like a bonus track from "One Life Stand" (not literally), and is probably one of the highlights of this impressive debut release from Shit Disco.
'I Got a Feeling' boasts a 90s disco groove with some great soul vocals over the top courtesy of Saheer Umar. Its the penultimate track of the CD, and in 8min in length you really have time to get involved in the track. At over an hour long, and only 9 tracks, there is a definite LCD feel to the production side of the cd - with long breakdowns paced between suitably arse shaking beats and basslines.
LCD Soundsystem may possibly be gone (exception: big day out 2011), though with output like this that will quickly be forgiven.

The 7am Drop

The above photos are from Sasha playing at Warung Beach Club in Brazil over the summer. I was there in February to see Solomun play with about 20 of my closest friends- it's by far the best clubbing experience of my life, the place is absolutely amazing, sitting in the middle of nowhere right on a pristine beach, in the middle of jungle. Its positioned in such a way that the sun rises up behind the crowd straight onto the DJ booth, pretty surreal stuff.

Now, with that in mind:
Andy Cato is part of Groove Armada, and in 2008 he produced this house song that is purely amazing. If listening to this doesn't make you smile and think of partying in summer on some dudes balcony over look the harbour then there is something seriously wrong with you. It's called 'The 7am Drop', cause hearing this at 7am as the sun rises over the ocean off Brzail would be pretty good i reckon.

Pencil Art - Whoa!

Cool right? I can't even begin to imagine how this guy goes about creating these little sculptures, but they are pretty mind blowing. A carpenter by trade, Dalton Ghetti produces these little masterpieces as a hobby using razors, sewing needles, sculpting knives and insane skill. He said the 'hobby' started during school while hand sharpening pencils, this guy must have had some serious down time at school.

The Naked And Famous

From just across the Tasman, these young fellas (and girl) from New Zealand are making big waves in the indie music scene. I got my hands on their new album last night (released yesterday) and its packed full of sing-along hip-thrusting 'cant wait for summer' choooons. The song below 'Young Blood' was released as a single in June, (accompanied by an awesome video clip) and it hit the top of the New Zealand charts for a couple of weeks. 'Young Blood' is an instant hit, it's their very own 'Sleepyhead' or 'Kids'. The 13 track album is full of indie anthems, these guys will be huge over the summer, you've been warned.

Underworld - Barking

Britains Karl Hyde and Rick Smith (Underworld) have been producing iconic electronic music for an astonishing 30 years. The release of 'Barking' on 13th September will be their first studio album in 3 years, and its packed full of goodness. We were treated with a teaser track 'Scribble' earlier in the year which received a whole lot of love from the music world, and got the nod of approval from avid Underworld fans.

Written by Karl and Rick in their UK studio, the tracks selected for the album were then handed on to a variety of 'studio heads' to add some of their own style and creativity to the bands raw material (see track listing below)

This new 10 track release takes you on a nice journey from the ambient/chill sound of 'Louisiana' and 'Simple Peal' into that all to familiar house sound with 'Diamond Jigsaw' and 'Grace'. The diversity of Underworlds albums have always been their biggest appeal for me. 'Barking' showcases a range of genres, from house, breaks, drum n' bass, chill-wave and ambient. This collection of tunes is definitely worth checking out!

Tracklisting:
1. Bird 1 (additional production by Dubfire)
2. Always Loved A Film (a/p Mark Knight & D. Ramirez)
3. Scribble (a/p High contrast)
4. Hamburg Hotel (a/p Appleblim & Al Tourettes)
5. Grace (a/p Dubfire)
6. Between Stars (a/p Mark K & D. Ramirez)
7. Diamond Jigsaw (a/p Paul Van Dyk)
8. Moon In Water (a/p High Contrast
9. Louisiana
10. Simple Real
I've uploaded two tracks for your enjoyment (dont mention it)

'Of Course, Socks' - A Mixtape

From time to time a song pops up through my headphones while I'm out and about, and i pull out my ipod to check what song it is, and I think, 'oh, of course, of course'. So this week ive remembered what they were, and created a little playlist.

1. Beem - Color Separated (w. Peder from Deportees) - The Swedes always do things a bit differently, and a bit awesome at the same time. 'Beem' is the lovelly work of Fredrik Mjelle, its got a 90s groove to it - check out his other stuff.

2. Active Child - When Your Love Is Safe - Despite doing the rounds on my ipod for months now, this song still impresses me, the lyrics are awesome, the guys voice is mesmerising, its a real 'life could be worse' song.

3. Pop Winds - The Turquoise - Do you ever listen to a song while your walking somewhere and think, wow, this would be the perfect track for this moment if i was in a movie. This song did it for me walking home from the station last night.

4. The 2 Bears - Be Strong - Hot Chips Joe Goddard teams up with producer Raf Daddy to create “rump-shaking, unpretentious house”, and id have to agree - the vocal in this remind me of UNKLE - Reign.

5. Chromeo - Don't Turn The Lights On (Aeroplane Remix) - Once again Aeroplane pumps out another catchy remix, and this time Chromeo is under the hammer. It's a real keeper this one, enjoy and play it loud.

6. Clubfeet - Count Your Lovers Sebastian Cohen, Eaves Roberts, and Monty Cooper make fun indie-dance that isn’t boring, or repetitive like a lot of other stuff floating around. They're Australian so support them, their whole album 'Gold on Gold' is worth a good listen. (Think Hotchip/Beat Connection...soughta)

7. Claps - Lost - From Minneapolis, Mennisota with their 'new wave - pop' sound Claps have only released a number of songs, and so far ive enjoyed what i've heard.

8. Mike Posner & the Brain Trust - Smoke & Drive ft. Big Sean, Donnis, and Jackie Chain - A certain friend of mine put me onto these guys, and they fucking rock - i can't get enough of it. This song popped up during the week and stood out for me, theres something about that voice!!!

9. Kamp! - Distance Of The Modern Hearts - This band reminds me of Australian band Amy Meredith, but better. Released earlier this year on a two track EP 'Heats', i think its time for an album?!

10. Civil Civic - Less Unless - Arrrggggg this song is epic, its raw, its loud, its crazy, it makes you wanna go crazy, itll grab you by the balls.

So there is the 'Of Course, Socks' mixtape! I hope you enjoy these special tracks as much as i enjoyed being surprised by them over the last week.

Darren Hanlon - I Will Love You At All

Darren Hanlon is by no means new to the Australian music scene. Performing as a solo singer/songwriter since 1999 he has released a number of successful folk/ballad style albums, and with the release of his 4th studio album "I Will Love You At All" he has further cemented his name as a future legend of Australian folk music. A recent tour with The Magnetic Fields successfully launched the new album, and its a definitely worth a listen (think Paul Kelly/Angus Stone).

DANIELS do The Hundreds In The Hands

A month or so back i posted the music video to Fm Belfast - Underwear, produced by the creative duo DANIELS. Well now the talented two have released their latest collaboration with up and coming New York indie poppers The Hundreds In The Hands. Its a great film clip, and a great song, you really get the feeling of how hammered this chick is. Hope you like it.

Bad Rabbits - Stick It Up

Boston's 'Bad Rabbits' is a weird and wonderful mix of soul, jazz, hip hop and early 90s dance which absolutely explodes with goodness. Labelled as New Jack Swing, this innovative genre has got me hooked, and lead singer Dua Boakye could possibly be the only one who can pull it off, his voice is unreal (think Prince meets Bad Brains).
The seven track EP Stick It Up was released in Dec 09, and I'm a little confused how its taken me this long to find these guys, because essentially, they f*cking rock, and there's not a huge amount of talk about them floating the net/blogs.
Throw in a karmaloop.com clothing line and the support of some already very established bands and you have 'Bad Rabbits', the next big thing from Boston.

Splendour in the Grass 2010 - Top Ten (with downloads)

What a f*kn amazing weekend of absolute goodness. The lineup was always ridiculous, however it truly transformed into one of the best festivals ive ever been to. I won't dive into the boring details of each and every set, cause that would take way too long. Instead ill post my top ten songs i heard, in no particular order, cause its hard to split a lot of them. All in all, each day was packed full of impressive/incredible/mindblowing acts, and not one disappointment.

1. LCD Soundsytem - Pow Pow
Fuck me, LCD were the highlight, they teared the place a new one. This song was insane, the base after the chorus was like nothing i'd ever felt, seriously cardiac arrest style noise/sound/whatever you call it. The whole set was intense, James Murphy is a legend, and it hurts thinking about the fact theyll never be here again, they made Splendour.

2. Foals - Red Socks Pugie
Foals-ripped-it-apart. After waiting for - what is it? - 4 years?? for them to come out, they certainly didnt disappoint. It was awesome hearing both CDs, which almost made the wait worth it. Total Life Forever, Cassius, Balloons, Miami, Blood, Red Socks Pugie, Two Steps Twice, Spanish Sahara - it was all sick. Red Socks Pugie was the highlight, ive always loved this song and thought it would be epic live, and it was, the whole mix-up tent lost their shit.

3. Two Door Cinema Club - Undercover Martyn
A great dose of british(irish)indie. These guys blew me away. They sounded great, but not just 'put on the cd' great, they played around with the songs, threw in some surprises, and despite their early (2pm) set-time they generally killed it. The tent was rammed for the whole set, and stayed rammed for the day. Undercover Martyn - they dragged out the intro chords a few times then let it rip, the crowd sang every word, and moved to every beat. Memorable.

4. Delphic - Counterpoint
After seeing Delphic earlier in the year at OAF, i knew they would be great, but with the big tent, and a rammed crowd, they f*cking killed it. Counterpoint was one of the stand outs. Their long songs and synthy chords really produced something special, and the crowd loved every second of it. These guys are going to be back soon, i get the feeling the like it here.

5. Miike Snow - Animal
Firstly, i know, its a bit cliche, but what can i say, these guys really knew how to get it grooving. The whole set was awesome. And of course this song was great, everyone knew it would be, and to be honest i was a little blown away at how great these guys were.

6. British India - God is Dead, Meet The Kids
As one of my highlights from Falls a couple of years back i was a little disappointed to see British India hit the stage at the early time of 2pm on the first day. However this thought was quickly done with once i saw the thousands upon thousand of people that had congregated in the amphitheatre to see these guys rock out with their cocks out. They blew it apart, the crowd went nuts. They played a wicked beastie boys cover (Fight For Your Right), and God Is Dead, Meet the Kids was the highlight, cause i love that song, and apparently so does splendour.

7. Paul Kelly - Careless
Australia's very own Bob Dylan! Apprehensive at his set time of 8.30pm on the Saturday, once again i punched myself in the face when i saw the crowd Paul had pulled in the upper tent stage. His voice is mesmerising, his songs have stories, everyone was hugging each other, singing along, and whispers of set of the festival were heard among many punters. RARARARRESPECT PK.

8. The Strokes - Last Nite
Closing the main stage on the second night, The Strokes were nothing short of holy shit amazing. I dont know how many people that amphitheatre holds, but f*ck me it was packed. Lines to get in were cut off due to over crowding, and the roar when they came on stage was deafening. There were numerous highlights, 'Someday' made peoples' hips move like nothing ive ever seen, and the moshpit for 'Last Nite' was f*cking mindblowing - get me back there (when i recover)

9. Florence & and The Machine - Rabbit Heart (Raise It Up)
This chick is mesmerising. Situated up on the hill of the amphitheatre i watched in oar as she had the whole crowd in the palm of her hand, and listening to every note she sang. Her voice is as good as you've heard it is, and i enjoyed every second of her set. She played her new track 'Strangeness and Charm' amongst a slew of the slower ballads, but it was tracks like 'Kiss With a Fist', 'Rabbit Heart (Raise it Up)' and 'Dog Days' made the crowd go crazy. There's something about her red her.

10. The Vines - Get Free
Wow!!! They can still rock a crowd after all these years. They sounded amazing. They played all their classics and the crowd was going absolutely crazy. Get Free was played towards the end, and as expected it was the shit. On a side note, their cover of "Ms Jackson - Outkast" was amazing, i think the whole crowd agreed as well.

So there you have it, thats ten highlights amongst a myriad of amazing moments. Side notes must go to:
Hot Chip - Of course they were a highlight, they always are, just cause there not in the top ten, dont think that they shouldn't be, maybe the should, ok they're number 11, they fucking rock.
Passion Pit - Who were incredible and surprisingly sounded great live. That guys voice actually is that high.
Jonsi - I didnt get a change to catch him play, but i heard he was mindblowing. I'd expect nothing less from the man that heads up Sigur Ros - next time, i promise.
Woodfordia - I thought the venue was great, while despite problems getting in, and some mud, we  had a group of happy campers who happened to stumble upon possibly the best camping spot on the map. WORDDDD.
Goldfrapp - wow, Alison can do her thang.

Till next year.
